Two suspects identified over death of liam davies

THE MAN WHO TRIED to assassinate a police officer is the latest suspect to face trial in connection with the death of liam davies.

Jury selection is due to start on Tuesday but it is yet to be announced whether he will face murder charges.

The trial of a 22-year-old man who allegedly stabbed Mr davies 16 times at a supermarket will begin on Tuesday.

The trial is expected to last at least three days and could span up to 20 days, depending on the findings and whether Mr davies’ family receives any assistance.

Mr davies, from Coggeville, North Yorkshire, was attacked on December 13 last year in Islington, the capital of Greater London, when police were attempting to arrest two men over the attempted murder of a police officer.

After he was stabbed repeatedly he was taken to hospital by an ambulance which was being used to transport him by the police.

Police say he died in hospital days later.
