Firefighters bolster efforts to quell south coast blaze

Mullam fire is at 3,000 acres north of the town of Mullam, according to the fire district.

The fi바카라사이트re broke out Tuesday morning and has consumed more than 2,000 acres.

The fire has a firefighting plan and plans for containment that are not complete, said Mike Murphy, 바카라senior fire fighter at the Pacific Fire Authority.

Mullam Fire is about five miles west of Mt. Washington.

“There’s a significant area that has burned and there’s the ability to make a little bit of progress right now,” said Murphy.

On Tuesday night, authorities tried to restore smoke in the town of Mullam but smoke continues to pour in, bringing additional concerns.

At least 100 firefighters are involved in the battle.

Fire continues to burn

Smoke is still filling at the corner of Washington Street and Main Street on the south end of Mullam. It’s now at nearly 4,000 acres.

Smoke is thick in the air and spreading.

A small amount of smoke will rise from the west side of the fire.

Crews are working closely with neighboring agencies to minimize the smoke impact, according to the fire district.

Mullam Fire’s last active monitor on Friday told the town that the fire was 40 percent contained.

On Saturday, officials told the town that only 10 percent of the fire remains.
